Balanced ventilation

There are two forms of balanced ventilation that can be used

The most complete form of ventilation system is the Balanced Ventilation System. Fans control both the supply and exhaust air, this achieves full control of the volume of fresh air.

Centralised Systems

In a multi-dwelling unit, such as flats, the idea for a balanced ventilation system is the same as for a single family home but needs to be adjusted to suit the separate living quarters. Fans control both the supply and exhaust air, this achieves full control of the volume of fresh air sent into the building. A centralised unit is simple to service and gives the building owner the ability to control the indoor climate.

Decentralised Systems

This system takes the exhaust air from kitchen and bathroom and is fed into the heat recovery unit. The cold fresh air is pre-heated after reaching the heat exchanger. If needed, a heating coil is used. Fans regulate both the supply and exhaust air, therefore the system achieves full control of the volume of fresh air getting in to the building or apartment.

An AHU placed in each apartment gives the owner localised control of the indoor climate.
