FläktGroup Breaks Ground on New Production Facility in South Korea to Support Growing Demand for Advanced Cooling Solutions

Gwangju, South Korea – FläktGroup has marked a significant milestone in its global growth journey with the ground-breaking of a new HVAC production facility in Gwangju, South Korea.
Following Samsung's acquisition of FläktGroup in 2025, the new 21,800m² facility will strengthen FläktGroup's manufacturing footprint and enhance its ability to support customers across Korea and East Asia with advanced cooling and air technology solutions.
Scheduled to begin production in early 2028, the site will become FläktGroup's 15th global production facility. It will combine Samsung's manufacturing capabilities with FläktGroup's decades of expertise in ventilation, air treatment and critical cooling technologies.
As the rapid growth of AI continues to drive demand for high-performance cooling infrastructure, the facility will manufacture a range of FläktGroup solutions, including Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs), Fan Wall Units (FWUs), Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs) and Air Handling Units (AHUs). These technologies play a critical role in supporting data centres, advanced manufacturing facilities and large commercial buildings.
The investment reflects FläktGroup's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of customers while expanding production capacity closer to key regional markets. It also establishes Gwangju as a strategic hub for delivering innovative HVAC and cooling solutions that support the next generation of digital and industrial infrastructure.
The groundbreaking marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for FläktGroup and Samsung as the two organisations work together to advance HVAC innovation and help shape the future of AI-ready infrastructure.
