FläktGroup Celebrates Opening of New Pune Manufacturing Facility to Accelerate Growth in Asia

Pune, India | 12 August 2026: FläktGroup, a Samsung company and a global leader in energy-efficient indoor air quality and critical air solutions, today celebrated the inauguration of its new industry leading manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, marking an important milestone in the company's continued growth in India and expansion across Asia Pacific. The new facility reinforces FläktGroup's long-term commitment to India while strengthening its ability to support customers across the region through increased local manufacturing capacity, engineering expertise and faster responsiveness. India's HVAC sector is experiencing strong growth, driven by rapid urbanisation, industrial expansion in the field of Giga Factories, Semiconductor, infrastructure investment, data-centre development and increasing demand for energy-efficient and sustainable cooling. The Indian subcontinent HVAC market is projected to reach approximately US$30 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 15.8%, creating significant opportunities for advanced air and critical cooling technologies.
Strengthening Manufacturing Capabilities in India
The Pune facility represents an important expansion of FläktGroup's regional manufacturing capabilities and further strengthens its operational footprint in India.
The facility comprises approximately 13,800 square metres, including more than 12,000 square metres of production space, together with areas dedicated to testing, research and engineering, offices and support functions.
Designed to manufacture advanced HVAC and critical cooling solutions, the facility will support products including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Wall Units (FWUs), CRAH/CRAC solutions, Heat Exchangers with manufacturing capacity of up to approximately 6,500 units annually.
The expansion comes at a time of strong growth for FläktGroup India. The business has grown at > 30% CAGR over the past five years, supported by increasing demand across Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Manufacturing, Commercial HVAC and other mission-critical applications.

Following management approval in December 2025, construction began in January 2026, FläktGroup's cross-functional teams transformed the facility into a best in class manufacturing plant within six months, with the first customer deliveries completed in July 2026. This achievement reflects the ownership, collaboration and ambition of our people," added Mr Singh.

The inauguration brought together customers, consultants, business partners and employees from across sectors including Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Manufacturing, Commercial HVAC and Consulting.
Guests participated in the formal inauguration ceremony, guided facility tour and product experience sessions showcasing FläktGroup's manufacturing capabilities and advanced technologies.
Senior leadership from Samsung Electronics and FläktGroup joined the inauguration, reflecting the strategic importance of India and the Pune investment. Those present included Cheolgi Kim, CEO of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances Business and Chairman of FläktGroup; Seong Taek Lim, Head of Air Solution Business, Samsung Electronics; Jaehyeon Shim, CFO of Samsung Electronics Digital Appliances Business; David Dorney, CEO of FläktGroup; Tobias Ketterle, CFO of FläktGroup; and Devraj Singh, Managing Director of FläktGroup India, together with other senior leaders from Samsung and FläktGroup.

During his welcome address, David emphasised the importance of this expansion, the Pune facility represents more than additional manufacturing capacity. It strengthens FläktGroup's ability to manufacture closer to customers, improve supply-chain resilience and respond more rapidly to evolving market requirements.
This capability is particularly important as India's digital infrastructure expands rapidly. Growth in cloud computing, artificial intelligence and data-intensive technologies is accelerating investment in data centres and increasing demand for reliable, high-performance and energy-efficient critical cooling solutions.
The inauguration marks the beginning of the next chapter of FläktGroup's growth in India and furthermore also supports the delivery of sustainable solutions to the wider Asia Pacific market.
