AlpAreal Salzburg - Commercial Ventilation Solution

Alpareal Salzburg – Flexibility in the festival city
The AlpAreal in the municipality of Wals-Siezenheim is owned by the Austrian BODNER Group. The family-owned company is the largest construction company in western Austria, a successful project developer and a financially sound enterprise.
Salzburg is one of Austria's top destinations for national and international companies and corporations to set up business due to its excellent location. Suitable plots of land in prime locations for companies with a large number of employees are extremely rare and therefore in high demand. In addition to plenty of space, AlpAreal also offers individual design options for a new company headquarters. Company locations such as AlpAreal also appeal to employees. Right in the city or out in the countryside? Both are close by. The location in the Salzburg economic region couldn't be better.
The AlpAreal construction site will grow in different construction phases and unfold across four sub-sites with new building units.
Owner: Bodner Group
Requirement: Energy-efficient, hygienic commercial ventilation and an intelligent heating and cooling system for maximum flexibility for the building complex.
Solution: Modern buildings require intelligent, energy-efficient air conditioning solutions that ensure an optimal indoor climate while minimising energy consumption. In this system, several state-of-the-art components work together perfectly to guarantee heating, cooling and fresh air supply at the highest level.
With Flotzinger & Brenner GmbH, an experienced and reliable partner for residential and commercial facilities in Salzburg and the surrounding area, FläktGroup planned and implemented air conditioning and ventilation systems for AlpAreal. The jointly developed solution combines innovative technologies for a sustainable and energy-efficient building climate.
The CAIRplus air handling unit on the roof ensures a continuous supply of pre-conditioned fresh air to the building and guarantees a healthy indoor climate with high energy efficiency. A sorption rotation heat exchanger, as an energy recovery solution, not only achieves a high level of heat recovery, but also recovers moisture in winter.
The HyFlex Geko fan coil units, positioned directly in the floor with stylish cladding, take over both the heating and cooling functions. Their efficient operation contributes significantly to energy savings.
Thanks to the 4-pipe system, each unit can be controlled individually, allowing heating or cooling to be selected as required in the different rooms.
The powerful GLWC series chiller is located in the basement and plays a central role in the cooling chain. It works seamlessly with the HyFlex Geko fan coil units and the CAIRplus air handling units to efficiently regulate indoor temperatures. The use of state-of-the-art technology achieves maximum performance with minimum energy consumption, significantly reducing the building's overall energy consumption.
The excess energy generated during summer operation is released to the environment via an inconspicuous, quiet and efficient and economical GTK series recooler with EC fan technology.
The perfect interaction of these components results in aholistic air conditioning concept that guarantees both energy savings and maximum room comfort. The system adapts flexibly to changing requirements, ensuring a healthy, pleasant and energy-efficient indoor climate at all times.
