FläktGroup appoints new CEO following an exciting year for the company

FläktGroup is proud to announce the appointment of David Dorney as our new CEO, marking an exciting new chapter for the company. This milestone comes in the same year we joined the Samsung family, strengthening our position as a global leader in indoor air technology.
Herne, Germany , December 9, 2025 - FläktGroup is pleased to announce that David Dorney has been appointed to the role of CEO of FläktGroup as of 8 December 2025.
Since joining FläktGroup in February 2024 as the Chief Sales Officer, Dave has spearheaded numerous positive changes and demonstrated determination, a strong growth mindset, and outstanding leadership. Together with being a key stakeholder during the Samsung acquisition process, these qualities make him an excellent choice to guide FläktGroup into its next chapter.
Prior to joining FläktGroup Dave came from Johnson Controls, where he began his career in October 2000 and progressed through a variety of leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager of the EMEA Heating and Cooling division. He led the field business, overseeing more than 1,500 employees across 14 countries. In this role, Dave drove growth in key vertical markets such as Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, and Industrial, while also spearheading the development of the region’s sustainability division.
After many years with FläktGroup in various leadership positions Trevor Young has decided to step down from the role of Chief Executive Officer as of 8 December 2025. We sincerely appreciate his leadership and the valuable contributions he made to our company’s success during his tenure.
