Meet Robert - Regional Sales Representative

We're proud to introduce Robert Trummer, our dedicated Sales Representative for the southern region of Upper Austria. Robert joined FläktGroup in 2012, beginning his journey in Sales and Export at our Gaspoltshofen location.
In 2019 he left for other carrier opportunities but came back in 2023 into a more externally focused sales role, where he continues to build strong customer relationships and drive regional growth. Today, he’ll be sharing some valuable insights from his experience in the field.
1. Why did you choose to join FläktGroup?
I was interested in FläktGroup because it’s a well-known company in the area with a good reputation and strong local roots.
2. What do you like most about working here?
I enjoy being actively involved in shaping exciting projects and seeing tangible results from my work.
3. What challenges do you have in sales?
Finding the right projects, the right customers. To let go unsuccessful projects and not be dragged down by them.
4. What is critically important in your role?
Being reliable, well-organized, and able to think both logically and analytically are crucial in my role. At the same time, maintaining a friendly and professional manner is essential for building long-term relationships.
5. What is the biggest misconception about what you do?
There’s a common misconception that sales people just drive around, drink coffee, and hand out
discounts. In reality, sales involves detailed planning, in-depth knowledge of products and solutions, and complex negotiations.
6. What does your day typically look like?
My day involves planning and developing project concepts, coordinating with various stakeholders, and negotiating prices with customers - ranging from planners and installers to end users.
