Today we spend more than 90% of our time indoors and the air we breathe has a big impact on our performance, wellbeing, and comfort. At the same time buildings account for up to 40% the energy consumption where ventilation systems play a huge part.

Meet our team

Our name

Where does the “FläktGroup” name come from? FläktGroup was formed in 2016 when DencoHappel (formerly part of GEA) and Fläkt Woods joined forces to create a European market leader for energy efficient Indoor Air Comfort and Critical Air solutions serving a global market.

“Fläkt” actually means ventilation fan in Swedish – as simple as that! The name has been part of the company for more than 100 years. The short “ä” is pronounced like the “e” in the word “bet” in English.

FläktGroup has been part of Samsung Electronics since November 2025, following its acquisition to strengthen Samsung’s position in the global HVAC and data centre markets.
