New Turkish Restaurant
Fläkt Woods MaXfan Compac has been used for the kitchen supply and extract systems in the new Turkish Restaurant in Walthamstow Mall providing safe and comfortable kitchen environment. The award-wining Turkish kebab chain had their long grand opening in Walthamstow on the 6th February 2018.
The MaXfan Compac was ideal for this project because there was a high static pressure due to the filtration needed on the extract to ensure smoke & odour control and the long duct runs. There was also a large air volume required to ensure the smoke from the cooking equipment was being extracted well enough so it did not affect the chef’s or go into the open restaurant. A total number of 6 fans were used as 3 for supply and 3 for the extract, all installed into 1 main duct run to achieve a total air volume of 9m3 /s for both supply & extract.
A site survey was carried out with the fans supplied by EIV (2009) Ltd to S.O.S Catering Equipment to complete the install and commissioning. The control panels were designed and manufactured by S.O.S Catering Equipment incorporating the MaXfan Compac inverter drives to the gas interlock. The MaXfan Compac reinforces the high quality products that Fläkt Woods has provided over the years.
